Delmer O. Elliott, 64, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 in a local hospital. He was of the Christian faith. Mr. Elliott retired from Bradley County Nursing Home after 16 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt Delmer Elliott and Addie Pearl Franklin Elliott; 3 brothers: Paul Elliott, Jack Elliott and Bill Elliott. He is survived by his wife, Mary Stephens Elliott of Cleveland; 1 son, Chris Elliott and wife, Jennifer of Georgetown; 2 grandchildren, Michael Elliott and Hunter Elliott of Georgetown and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Sammie Dunford and the Reverend Leroy Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in McInturff Cemetery with military honors. Gerald Elliott, Mikey Elliott, David Elliott, Jack Elliott, Barry Hicks and Dustin Hicks will be serving as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
