azel Sutton Tatum

June 4, 1934 — April 19, 2008

Hazel Sutton Tatum, 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the family residence. She was a member of Samples Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Tatum was the daughter of the late John Sutton and Minnie Long Sutton and was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Tatum; brothers, Joe Glen Sutton and William "Billy" Sutton; sister, Cora Mae Hollifield. Survivors include her children and spouses: Dana and Rick Litwicki, John and Diane Tatum and Gary Tatum all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Jason and Tonya Litwicki, Jennifer and Matthew Gorski, Andy, Daniel and Rebecca Tatum all of Cleveland; brother and spouse: John Franklin and Sandy Sutton of Cleveland; sister, Wanda Sutton of Cleveland; brother-in-law and spouse: Bill and Janice Tatum and G.W. and Lillian Tatum all of Cleveland; sister-in-law and spouse: Jewel and Bobby Withrow of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Samples Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Ingram, Reverend T.R. Etheridge and Reverend Doug Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Samples Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with deacons of Samples Memorial Baptist Church serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and also from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the church prior to the service.
