Carl Wayne Mullins, 55, passed away on Monday May 12, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 2, 1952 to the late Hester and Opal Mullins. He was a graduate of Arkansas City High School class of 1971. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on March 2, 1972 and retired March 31, 1992. He later married Micheallann Shipman October 4, 1986 in Oklahoma City. His wife Michaellann Mullins passed away on March 24, 2008 and he was also preceded in death by half brother David Mullins and nephew Sam Mullins. Survivors include his brother and spouse Dean and Audrey Mullins; mother-in-law and father-in-law Bernice and Pat Shipman of Rush Springs Oklahoma; one sister-in-law Zanna Shipman of Cassville, Missouri; three nephews Charles Mullins and Christopher Mullins both of Arkansas City, Kansas, and Nathan Hoard of Cassville, Missouri; two nieces Debbie Griffith and Tammy Smith both of Vicksburg, MS; and many family and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday May 21, 2008 at Samples Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Lee Ingram and Reverend Mark Cameron officiating. Interment will follow at Samples Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Tuesday May 20, 2008 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
