J.B. Wilson, 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2008 in a local healthcare facility. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church for 49 years where he previously served as a deacon, treasurer, Sunday School Superintendent and choir member. He retired from Hardwick Stove Company as a cost accountant after 40 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lorena Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eudy Wilson of Cleveland; 2 sons: Joe Wilson and wife, Connie of Cleveland, and Rodney Wilson and wife, Selma of Smyrna; 4 grandchildren: Jay Wilson of Bowling Green, KY, Stephen Wilson of Ooltewah, Jennifer McCaman of Smyrna and Natalie Wilson of Knoxville; 3 great grandchildren: Hunter Wilson, Hayden Wilson and Cooper Wilson; 1 brother, Jim Wilson of Varnell, GA; 5 sisters: Mary Sue Souther of Harriman, Ysletta Morgan and Doris Lee both of Varnell, GA; Richarda Gibson of Daytona, FL and Freda Thomas of Hilton Head, SC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral with Pastor Jim Caywood officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. His family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
