Paul (Cotton) Wright

Paul (Cotton) Wright, a lifelong resident of Bradley County was born August 5, 1932. After a lengthy illness, on May 18, 2008 he went home to be with the Lord. He was a retired truck driver and was in the used car business. He spent many years on the road and was known and loved by those who knew him. He was quick with a smile and a helping hand. He will be sadly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanders and Mollie Wright; daughter, Tony Shope; sisters: Nell Legoo and Lora Smith. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Melva Wright of Cleveland; five children: Debbie Cross and husband, Danny of Soddy Daisy, Carolyn Jack and husband, Chuck, Mickey Wright, Alan Wright and wife, Priscilla, Sheri Ledford and husband, Tim all of Cleveland; ten grandchildren: Nathan Cross, Jake Cross, Cassie Johnston, Aaron Shope, Brittany Shope, Janie Wright, Justin Wright, Brandon Wright, Jenni Wright and Kelli Ledford; three great grandchildren: two brothers, Randall Wright of Cleveland and Bill Wright of Branson, MS; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Keith Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Earls Cemetery with Chuck Jack, David (Pee Wee) Neely, Larry Wright, Dudley Johnson, Joey Hall and Shane Hooker serving as pallbearers.
