Eston Cordell Blaylock, 80, a resident of Ooltewah, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a self employed mechanic. He owned and operated Highway 58 Exxon Station for several years. He worked for Hamilton County Board of Education. Mr. Blaylock was the son of the late Frank Blaylock and Laurie Blaylock and was also preceded in death by his son, Eston Ronnie Blaylock and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Rosie Blaylock of Ooltewah; four children and spouses: Nellie Blaylock of Georgetown, Regina Guier of Ooltewah, Donnie and Beverly Blaylock of Decatur and Jerry and Libby Blaylock of Oolltewah; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Estell and Gertrude of Sparta, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Ernest Sutton officiating. Interment will follow in the New McDonald Cemetery with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
