Ruth E. Hutson, 85, a resident of Cleveland, went to rest in peace on Wednesday, June 04, 2008 in a local hospital. She was a member of Keith Street Church of God of Prophecy. She was known for her homemade yeast bread and also wrote beautiful poetry. She was formerly a volunteer at the Helpline of Cleveland and enjoyed the opportunity of teaching adult reading. She was retired from Magic Chef after forty-four years of service. Mrs. Hutson was the daughter of the late John Wesley Clark and Ella Orr Clark and was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn J. Hutson, Sr.; her son, John Pryor Hutson and her granddaughter, Kelly Sheree Hicks. Survivors include her children: Julian Hutson and wife, Janet Hutson of Cleveland and Judith Delaney of Chattanooga; three grandchildren and spouses: Kenny and Melinda Hicks of Soddy Daisy, Todd and April Hutson and Julie Storrs all of Cleveland; six great-grandchildren: Trey Hicks, Brandon Hicks, Aaron Hutson, Taylor Hutson, Tripp Storrs and Kyndall Hutson; special friend who loved her, Shirley McLemore; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008 at the Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy with Reverend Wayne Allen, Reverend Tim Coalter and Reverend Steve Spears officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
