Barbara Riden Parkinson, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, June 13, 2008 at a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late William Riden and Lois Presswood Riden. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jim Riden and son-in-law, Gary Davis. Survivors include her husband of 60 years Mansel Parkinson of Cleveland; two daughters Sandra Davis of Cleveland and Patty Hafley and her husband Larry Hafley of Cleveland; three grandchildren Piper Davis, Casey Brock and her husband Brian Brock, Erica McMahan and her husband Jason McMahan; four great-grandchildren Cydney Brock, Cammy Brock, Carrygan Brock, and Jaxson McMahan; two sisters Glenda Riden of Cleveland, Martha Buckner and her husband Norman Buckner of Cleveland; sister-in-law Helen Riden; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with ministers Bill Maynard and Jeff Archey officiating. Internment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Larry Hafley, Brian Brock, Jason McMahan, Charlie Butler, Mark Bandy, and Keith Buckner serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
