Jimmy Dewayne Walker, 42, a resident of Charleston, passed away Monday, June 16, 2008 in Madison County healthcare facility. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a self-employed painter. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Arthur; grandparents, James Vernon Walker and Edna Lee, Robert Edwards and Laura Cannon Edwards. Survivors include his wife Norma Walker of Charleston; father, Jimmy Walker and Bonnie Barker of Cleveland; one daughter, Sabrina Walker of Madison, Indiana; step-daughter, Jean Croft of Charleston; step-sons, Tim Graves, Jr. of Cleveland and Jonathan Croft, Jr. of Charleston; two grandchildren: Buster Graves and Geneva Graves; four sisters: Renay Arthur, Kimberly Deavers, Penny Head and Tika Barnell all of Cleveland; two brothers: Timmy Walker of Dalton, Georgia and Greg Walker of Cleveland; several aunts and uncles also survive. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Grady Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
