Gwyndlon Sherlin

Gwyndlon Sherlin, 69, a resident of McDonald, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at the family residence. She attended Bancroft Church of God for over fifty years. She was the daughter of the late Claude Holder and Jodie Defriese Holder and was also preceded in death by her great-grandson, Nathan Gates; two brothers, Allen Holder and Claude Holder, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Carl Sherlin of McDonald; daughters: Rosemary Wattson and husband Larry Wattson of McDonald and Angela Sherlin; sons: Michael Sherlin and wife Tammy Sherlin, Roy Sherlin and Camille Sherlin, C.J. Sherlin and wife Donna Sherlin, Ricky Sherlin and wife, Tammy Sherlin, Steve Sherlin and wife Connie Sherlin all of McDonald; grandchildren: David Sherlin, Steve Hedden, Sherry and Rodney Wattson, Kim Mayhew, Kelly Parker, Stephanie Wilson, Amy Bennett, Jason Sherlin, Allen and Misty Sherlin, Andrea Sherlin, Karla Sherlin and Lyle Sherlin; great-grandchildren: Skylar Scoggins, Whitney Taylor, Jacob Parker, Brandon and Ethan Wilson, Andrew and Bailey Staton, Hayleigh and Alicia Wattson, Tayla Wattson, Sara Goode, Virginia Goode, Leslie Goode and Dewayne Goode; sister, Yvonne Higgins of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Bancroft Church of God with Reverend William Curtis and Reverend Norman Stallings officiating. Interment will follow in Bancroft Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Skylar Scoggins, David Sherlin, Jason Sherlin, Allen Sherlin, Rodney Wattson, Arty Staton and Jimmy Parker, Larry Wattson and Steve Mayhew will serve as honorary pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
