Leonard J Franklin

Leonard J. Franklin, Jr., 71, a resident of Old Fort passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at his residence. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Leonard Franklin and Agnes Watts Franklin. He is survived by his wife Audrey Kerns Franklin of Old Fort; 5 children: Vicki Smith of Atlanta, Joseph Franklin of Lake Wales, FL, Michael James of Venice, FL, Peter James of Old Fort and Paul James of Flowery Branch, GA; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 sisters: Martha Thompson of Jackson, SC; Gail Northcutt of Ringgold, GA, Jeanett Webb of Hiram, GA and Mary Franklin of Stockbridge, GA; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Russell Lankford officiating. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
