Eddie A Newport

Eddie A. Newport, 64, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at the family residence. He was a member of Charleston First Baptist Church. He was formerly employed with Olin Corporation for seventeen years and Bowater Corporation for sixteen years. Mr. Newport was the son of the late Arthur Newport and Lucy Lawson Newport. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Diane Newport of Cleveland; one daughter, Robin Renee? Fox and husband, Jimmy Fox of Orlando, Florida; step children: Derek Love and wife Cathy Love and David Love and wife Melanie Love all of San Angelo, Texas; ten grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie Lee Newport of Oakdale, TN; one sister, Sherry Elizabeth Brown of Harriman, TN; one aunt, Mamie Newport of Harriman, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Isbill officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. His family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
