Robert Floyd Nicholson

Robert Floyd Nicholson, 72, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with our Lord and Savior surrounded by family, Friday, July 24, 2009. He was an avid fisherman and never met a stranger. He loved practical jokes and always had a smile on his face and a thumbs up. He was of the Christian faith. He was a proud member of the Cleveland Masonic Lodge #134, F&AM for 28 years and was employed by Magic Chef until his health failed him. He was preceded in death by his parents W. L.(Toots) and Annie Mae Ryan Nicholson; brother and sister-in-law, W.L. (Dub) and JoAnn Nicholson; and granddaughters Autumn Reign and Jasmine Marie Baker. Survivors include his wife of 38 years Sue Nicholson; son Robert Nicholson, Jr. of Tucson, AZ; son and daughter-in-law Art and Ginger Nicholson of Maryville, TN; daughters and sons-in-law Angie and Randy D. Miller and Amanda and Robert Baker all of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Lindy Nicholson of Maryville, Aaron Miller and Sara Miller of Cleveland; Sierra Baker of Cleveland; Brenda Baker of Riceville; Kaity Baker of Riceville; sisters and brothers: Marion Rader of Lenoir City, TN, Betty and Bob Blankenship of Loudon, TN, Dennis (Nick) Nicholson of Maywood, CA, Harrison and Lillie (Tootsie) Nicholson of Sweetwater, TN, Mary L. Gaylon, of Richmond, VA, Margaret and Dale Vaughn of Tellico, TN, Mattie and Tom Brown of Spartanburg, SC,; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Hall of Cleveland; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Earl F. and Ann Hall of Cleveland and sisters-in-law Brenda Hall of Old Fort and Merrilyn Hall of Columbia, SC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 27, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Blankenship and Pastor Larry Humbard, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will have a Masonic Service at 4 p.m., Sunday, July 26, 2009 followed by visitation until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
