E. Claudette Hilton Buckner, 69, a resident of Cleveland, died Monday, July 27, 2009 in a local hospital. She was a well known secretary in the community and was a graduate of Bradley Central High School’s class of 1958 where she was active in class reunions. Also a member of Philippi Baptist Church, she was a beloved and devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles C. and Jessie L Montooth Hilton and her husband 6 months ago, Carl C. Buckner. Survivors include her daughter Jena P. Frederick and husband Kurt M. of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Aubrey E. Reagan, Lindsey P. Frederick and Sophie G. Frederick all of Cleveland; two brothers: Charles M. Hilton and wife Evelyn of Franklin, TN and Leonard Hilton and wife Judy of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Sammy Hooker officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Garden with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Nephews Rick Hilton, Scott Leslie, Hiram Hodge, Chad Buckner, Keith Buckner, Jason Buckner, Chase Wyatt and cousin Denis Montooth, serving as a pallbearers. Taylor Thompson will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the funeral home.
