Jacqueline Ann Hamilton, a resident of Cleveland, lost her six year battle with cancer, with her family by her side, on Sunday, August 23, 2009. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland and a participator in the Relay for Life. She enjoyed arts and crafts, water sports and traveling. She loved giving to needy families and especially donating to the Harbor Safe House. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Darcy and son, Randy Bernier. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Loye Hamilton of Cleveland; son, Jeff Bernier of Dallas, TX; mother, Helen Darcy of Lake Mills, WI; children by marriage, Lori Boring and husband, Greg of Cleveland, Dawn McLemore and husband, Kirk of Signal Mountain and Alison Hamilton of Cleveland; grandchildren, Will and Ben Rice, Audrey and Wade McLemore and Chloe and Abby Howell; brother, Tom Darcy; sisters, Judy Smith and husband, Bob and Karen Dominguez and husband, John; nephew, Nicholas Smith; mother-in-law, Florence Hamilton of Cleveland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Deborah Hamilton, Jackie and Sharon Hamilton, Frances and Mike Pierce, Joye and Jim Goodner, Carl and Ann Hamilton, all of Cleveland and Juanita and Johnny Eldredge of Chattanooga; two god children, Clark and Jinna Ann Tucker; special friends, Violet Rice, Kaye Tucker, Sandy Renner, Stacy French, Nell Edwards, Debby Webb Harris, Tracy Walker, Sue Ogle and Corinia Bromley; and special care giver, Darlene Johansen. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 2:00 at First Baptist Church of Cleveland with Reverend Bill Griffith and Reverend Max Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Danny Rice, Olis Tucker, Jr., Phil Goddard, McKamey Hall, Matt Hamilton and Boyd Williams serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Tatum and all employees and associates of Coldwell Banker, Hamilton and Associates, residential in Hixson and Cleveland and Coldwell Banker, Hamilton and Associates, commercial division. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:30-8:30 at the First Baptist Church of Cleveland and on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00, prior to the service.
