Clint B. Scoggins, age 27, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 in a local hospital. He was of the Church of God faith. He graduated from Bradley Central High School in the year 2000. Clint enjoyed football and softball and had a love for the outdoors. He owned and operated Premier Outdoor Services and was employed at UPS for nine years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kendall Annsley Scoggins and grandfather, Jerry Ruth. He is survived by his loving wife and high school sweetheart, Cassie Strickland Scoggins of Cleveland; mother and step father, Melanie and Tom Hayden; father, Brad Scoggins; grandparents, Bill and Phyllis Scoggins, Nancy Tinsley White, Virginia Ruth and Shirley and Jerry Brooks; great grandparents, W. O. and Opal Scoggins of McDonald; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Judy and Mike Stanfill; father-in-law, James David Strickland; brothers: Jordan Scoggins, Preston Scoggins, Matt Hayden and Mitch Hayden; aunts and uncles: Carolyn Buckner of Panama City Beach, FL, Missy White Woods of McDonald, Steve and Jana Buckner, Danny and LeAnn Poole, Robert and Lanna Ruth, Lisa and David Buckner all of Cleveland, Ami Burns of Soddy Daisy and Belinda Tobin of Woodbury; cousins: Micah Colburn, Christopher Buckner, Daniel Obed of CA, Katie Robertson of FL, Bryan Poole, Nick Poole, Logan Phillips, Ashley Ruth, Ziek Buckner and Brianna Buckner; step parents, Jim Gumm and Donna Walker Scoggins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2009 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Sears officiating. Interment will follow in Cookson Creek Cemetery with Michael Smith, Brandon Coffey, Blake Goodner, Zech Pike, Chad Ownby, Brent Roberts, Preston Scoggins, Jordan Scoggins, Matt Carroll, Angelo Barnick and Carter Hancock serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the funeral home.
