Bud Gordon Clarence Cochran

Bud Gordon Clarence Cochran, 68, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in a Nashville hospital. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and devoted Christian. He retired from Quaker Oats in Chattanooga after twenty-seven years of service and retired from Peytons in Cleveland after seven years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a faithful member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. After retirement, he worked in the disaster relief program through the Bradley Baptist Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Cochran and Graypelle Queen Cochran; two sisters, Azalea Qualls and Yvonne Plumley; brother, "Chiger" Charles Allen Cochran and granddaughter, April Dawn Cochran. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Norman Cochran of Cleveland; children and spouses: Teresa McAllister and Rick of Divide, CO, Jeff C. Cochran and Karen, Tony Cochran and Sandi, Sara Cook and Nathan all of Cleveland; seven grandchildren: Afton Dixon of Athens, Kelsi Dixon of Cleveland, Taylor Dixon of Calhoun, Jeffrey Aaron Cochran of Eufaula, Al, Anthony Cochran, Aaron Cochran and Andrew Cochran all of Cleveland; one great-grandchild, Malachi Cochran; siblings: Hayden Cochran of Dothan, AL, Janie Godfrey and Marqueita McClelland both of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 25, 2009 at Clingan Ridge Baptist Church with Jimmy Plumley, Pastor Ricky Vaughn and Pastor James Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jeffrey Aaron Cochran, Anthony Cochran, Aaron Cochran, Andrew Cochran, Scott Godfrey and Todd Thurman serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 5-9 P.M. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
