Virginia Blackburn

Virginia Blackburn, 81, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009. She lived in the area over 40 years after living in Hamilton County. She attended Grasshopper Church of God. She retired as a home health aide. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Cranfield; second husband, Dave Blackburn; son, Duane Cranfield; and parents, Ira Herron and Icie Williams Herron. She is survived by her son, Randall Cranfield and wife, Bertie; grandchildren, Jennifer Thompson and husband, Allen and John Owen; great grandchildren, Olivia and Zanna Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 3, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend George Johnson and Reverend Johnny Raper officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 6:00 – 9:00 at the funeral home.
