Steven James Wright

Steven James Wright, 17, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009. He was a student at Bradley Central High School. He attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mildred and John Wright and maternal grandfather, David Edwards. He is survived by his father, Steven Wright and his wife, Jeanie Wright of Cleveland; mother, Tammy Hindman of Hixson; sister, Summer Wright of Cleveland; brother, Elijah Wright of Cleveland; step brother, David Denton of Pensacola, FL, currently serving in the United States Navy; maternal grandmother, Laura “Gammie” Edwards of Cleveland; maternal grandparents, Allen and Helen Hindman of Hixson; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many special friends he called brother. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Dr. Reed Wright and Pastor Richard Bates officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Heath Smith, Tyler Stanley, Jerry Holdren, Tracy Hindman, Will Medek, Ashanti Darity, Michael Darity and Nick Zelenak serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Forgey, Nicky Forgey and Tommy Gallahan. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
