Dorothy Ann Debity

Dorothy A. Debity, 63, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 in a local hospital. She was the author of her autobiography, “Please, Mama, Please” and was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton Head and Faye Dorety Head; and son, Steven Debity. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Danny Debity of Cleveland; children, Clayton Debity of Cleveland, Gerald Debity of Cohutta, GA, Mark Debity of Lexington, KY and Mary Anne Debity of Cleveland; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Faye Nell Bates, Linda Morrow and Brenda Head, all of Texas; brothers, Robert G. Head of California, and Billy L. Head, Raymond L. Parks, Jr., Walter Parks, Daryl Parks and Ernest Parks, all of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Minister Jeff Archey and Minister Bill Maynard officiating. Interment will follow in Epperson Cemetery in Monroe County. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 22nd from 1:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
