PHILLIP ARLEN POTEET Phillip Arlen Poteet, 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at a local hospital on Friday, June 14, 2013. He was a chlorine operator with Olin Chemical Corporation for 38 years and a member of Cohulla Baptist Church. He was a 1957 graduate of Bradley Central High School. Arlen ("Daddy") was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was dedicated to his family and friends. His talents and hobbies included making crafts, fishing, sports, racing and collecting. He was loved by all his family and will be missed by all. He was always there for us. Preceding him in death were his mother Mary Poteet, and brother, James Edward "Pete" Poteet. Survivors include his wife, Judy Holmes Poteet of Cleveland; father, Charles "C.L." Poteet of Cleveland; two children, Tony Poteet of Memphis and Cindy Williams and husband Ron of Cleveland; one grandchild, Clinton Dean Poteet of Memphis; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Herbert Conley. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. The family will receive friends from 12:00 ? 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013, prior to the service at the funeral home.
