Joyce W Ford

Joyce W. Ford, 77, a resident of Georgetown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 16, 2013. Joyce was born on March 30, 1936 in Chattanooga. She was a 1955 graduate of Chattanooga Central High School, a former U.S. Marine and retired from Hamilton County Nursing Home in 1998 after 24 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Clara Wilson; husband, Gordon Ford; siblings, Phillip Wilson, Lynn Wilson and Wanda Eaves. She is survived by four sons, and their families: Gordon, Debbie and Christian Ford; Michael, Tracy, Rachel and Jacob Ford; Matthew, Brenda, Jessica and John David Ford; John, Sherry, Tiffany, Rebecca and Matthew Ford; several cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church in Ooltewah with Pastor Richard Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
