Charles Benton Marley

Charles Benton Marley, 86, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in a Nashville hospital. He was retired from the United States Navy after 30 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hillsboro, TN. Mr. Marley was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Marley and was also preceded in death by his twins, Charles and Edgar Marley; two brothers, John Thomas Marley and James Edward Marley; two sisters, Gladys Case and Vivian Thomas. He is survived by his two daughters: Shirley Anne Marley of Hillsboro, TN and Audra Charleen Circelli and husband, Brian; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Fort Hill Cemetery with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Pallbearers will be Ray Bethune, Gary Walraben, Mickey Dorsey, Steve Hayes, Jose Ortega and Carlos Whitmire. Military honors will be conducted and a white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home prior to the service.
