Judith Ann Hooper Gibson, 72, of Charleston, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her residence. She was a member of Brittsville Baptist Church. She was a well?respected and beloved teacher at Hopewell School for more than 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.L. and Eloise Harris Hooper; daughter, Debbie Gibson; infant grandson, Avery Burnette. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Doyle Gibson of Charleston; two daughters: Kim White and husband, Gary of Georgetown and Pam Burnette and husband, Nicky of Cleveland; son, Alan Gibson and wife, Judy of Georgetown; the light and joy of her life were her grandchildren, Brooke Gibson of Cleveland, Brently and Riley White of Georgetown, Nicolas and Noah Burnette of Cleveland and great-grandchild, Allie Gibson of Cleveland; and special friend, Brenda Randolph. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Jones and Reverend Kenneth Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Johnston Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis Richards, Will Harris, Andy Andrews, David Allen, Nathan Myers and Mitch Harden. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at the funeral home.
