Mason Bishop Sesler

October 17, 1923 — July 19, 2013

Mason Bishop Sesler, Jr., 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at the family residence. He was of the Methodist faith. He was an associate professor emeritus of Electronic Technology at Cleveland State for 35 years. He served in the Army European Theater in World War II. He enjoyed being around his family and all of God?s creation. Mr. Sesler was the son of the late Mason Sesler, Sr. and Ona Yoak Sesler and was also preceded in death by his son, Mason Bishop Sesler, III; brother, Russell Sesler and sister, Catherine McArthur. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Frances Key Sesler of Cleveland; five children: Maria (Lou) Summerer of Canada, Mark (Patricia) Sesler of Nashville, N.C., Russell (Cynthia) Sesler of Brentwood, TN, Jeffrey (Debbie) Sesler of Rossville, GA and Tracy (Alex) Moyers of Chattanooga, TN; five grandchildren: Angela, Briana, Kathy, Debra and Nicolle; five great-grandchildren: Brittany, Abby, Ethan, Mason and Dylan; two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Chaplain Pat Davis officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013 at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Chattanooga Cleveland staff.
