Tadd A. Grider, 37, lifelong resident of Cleveland, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he and his wife taught elementary age students for the past five years. Tadd and his room brightening personality will be greatly missed. His ministry as a Sunday school teacher touched the lives of many children. He was a devoted husband, loving father and cherished son. Tadd was to graduate from Lee University in May of this year with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. He coached and was active in a variety of youth sport programs in the Bradley County area. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Grider. He has left behind the love of his life, his wife of 10 years, Amanda Grider of Cleveland; two daughters that he adored more than life, Katie and Hannah both of Cleveland; parents, Greg and Robin Grider of Cleveland; one sister, Whitney Bowman and husband, Dustin of Cleveland; one nephew, Avery Bowman; grandparents, Wanda Grider, Ben and Marilyn Kirkland all of Cleveland; aunts and uncles, Marilyn and Doug Smith, and Randy and Teresa Kirkland all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Red Hill Cemetery with Jamie Fox, Joe Starr, Stacy Smith, Ty Moreland, Matt Schenck and Ben Kirkland serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
