Jimmy Malcolm Plumley

Jimmy Malcolm Plumley, 71, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at his residence Sunday, March 17, 2013. He was born in Wetmore, TN and was a well-known and respected preacher of the gospel for over fifty years. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church. He was retired from Eaton Corporation after 27 years of service. Mr. Plumley was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Faye Plumley who passed away November 17, 2012 and was also preceded in death by his parents, James Plumley and Mary Womble Plumley; grandson, Donovan Penley; ten siblings. Survivors include his children: Randy Plumley, Connie Hughes both of Cleveland, Tammy Harper of Chattanooga and Lana Plumley Turner of Atlanta; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Mayme Melton of Etowah; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Cheatham, Doug Brown and Jake Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Delano Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at the funeral home.
