Joyce Evelyn Westveer

Joyce Evelyn Westveer, 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 in a Mt. Clements, Michigan healthcare facility. She was a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Westveer and parents, Ruiel and Bertha Queen and brother, Ralph Queen, and grandson, Hal Richmond, Jr. She is survived by her sons, and daughters-in-law, Richard and Ruth Patrick of Allenton, MI, and Doug and Leslie Patrick of Palmer, Alaska; three grandchildren and spouses: Melissa Uhlianuk and husband, George of Armada, MI, Brian Patrick and wife, Beth of Attica, MI. Stephen Patrick and wife, Lindsey of Clarkston, MI. a special step daughter, Karon Richmond and husband, Hal of Sterling Heights, MI; three great-grandchildren: Olivia Patrick, Bradley Patrick and Luke Patrick; one sister, Dorothy Flowers of Cleveland; two brothers, Bill Queen and R.L. Queen and wife Judy, one sister-in-law, Mary Queen, all of Cleveland, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jeannie Cissom officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the funeral home.
