Harry August Leverenz

Harry August Leverenz, 82, a resident of Reliance, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 in an Etowah hospital. He was a native of Michigan and had live in the Reliance area since 1993. He was a member of Hiwassee Baptist Church. He was retired from Ford Motor Company after many years of service. Mr. Leverenz was preceded in death by his wife, Ingeburg Karoline Leverenz who passed away in 2008; his parents, Henry Karl and Marie Leverenz and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include his daughter, Sonja Leverenz of Reliance; four grandchildren: Michael Leverenz, Tyler Petriches, Emily-Nichole Leverenz and KateLynn Leverenz all of Reliance; one sister, Betty Towler and husband, Mike of Michigan; three brothers, Don Leverenz and wife, Della of Arizona, John Leverenz and wife, Eli, and Frank Leverenz and wife, Samantha all of Michigan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ernst and Jeanette Gulzau of Winchester, TN; brother-in-law, Harold Lemmel of Kassel, Germany; several nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hiwassee Baptist Church with Pastor Benny Thomas officiating.
