Elaine D. Henry, 76, a resident of Ooltewah, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, at her home surrounded by a loving family following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a devout Christian and faithful member of Ooltewah Baptist Church where she served in the choir, Awana, and was serving as chairperson of the R3 finance campaign for renovation. She was the owner of Always on Line Answering Service. Elaine enjoyed serving others and touched the lives of all with whom she came in contact. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chandler and Mildred Lott Drake. She is survived by her husband Wayne Henry of Ooltewah; three daughters: Leisa Leffew and husband Roy of Chattanooga, Deidra Baird and husband Tommy of Ooltewah, and Denise Hearn of Ooltewah; three granddaughters: Amy Leffew of Chattanooga, Meagen Baird and Taylor Baird, both of Ooltewah; and one sister, Della Johnson of Stone Mountain, GA. Funeral services will be conducted at Ooltewah Baptist Church Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Chris Gaither and Reverend Larry Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Old McDonald Cemetery on Snow Hill Road concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Roy Leffew, Tommy Baird, Gavin Cox, Christian Parker, Hartly Sylar and Raymond Monger will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 2 ? 8 p.m. Monday at Ooltewah Baptist Church. Her family requests that memorial contributions can be made to the R3 Finance Campaign at Ooltewah Baptist Church, 5514 Main Street, Ooltewah TN 37363, or Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga TN 37416. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
