Mary Frances Gregory

Mary Frances Gregory, 82, of Cleveland passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at her home. She worked for many years in the healthcare industry and retired from Coppinger?s dietary department after several years of service. She enjoyed yard sales and meeting new people. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Gregory, parents; Gideon Whalen and Lilly Carden Whalen, two brothers, Ulys Whalen, Kenny Whalen and one sister, Blanche Yates. She is survived by her daughter, Lillian Diane Placek and fiancé, Bruce Bish of Cleveland, one son, Kenneth "Bert" and wife Donna Weaver of Carpentersville, Ill., one sister, Margaret and husband Gene Hargraves of Ringgold, Ga., seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens, with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends Monday, April 1, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
