Betty Jane Harvey, 81, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at her residence. She was a member of Big Springs United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ and played for many years at St. Luke?s Episcopal Church and Big Springs United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Bradley Central High School where she was a drum majorette. She was a graduate of Edmondson Business School. She was a charter member of the NHS/American Business Women?s Association and won the Woman of the Year Award in 1990. Mrs. Harvey was an executive secretary with Magic Chef with 34 years of service assisting Skeet Rymer. She was the daughter of the late Wilson Branam and Elsie Campbell Branam and was also preceded in death by her sister, Inez Branam. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Calvin Harvey of Cleveland; one son, Don Alan Mullinax and wife, Jodi of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Tyler Andrew Mullinax, Corey Alan Mullinax and Rebecca D. Maples; aunt, Marge Lee of Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Lyle White officiating. A private family interment will be held. Don Alan Mullinax, Tyler Mullinax, Corey Mullinax, Alvin Beck, Sonny Harvey and Lloyd Rogers will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the funeral home.
