Kent Albert Nipper

February 17, 1937 — April 18, 2013

Kent "Butch" Albert Nipper, 75, a resident of Cleveland passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Butch loved the outdoors and also NASCAR. He was retired from Bendabout Farms after serving as a polo groomer for many years for Summerfield K. Johnston, Jr. Mr. Nipper was the son of the late Fredrick and Thelma Nipper and was also one of their thirteen children. Nine have gone on before him and were waiting for him. He is survived by his wife: Lynn Nipper of Cleveland; step-children: Christopher McGill and wife, Jackie of LaMesa, CA, Jennifer Lynn Myers and husband Ken of Harrison, TN and Michael McGill of Cleveland, TN; brother: Jack Nipper and wife, Joie of Danville, IL; two sisters: Betty Brown and husband, John of Westville, IL and Thelma Cook of Georgia; three grandchildren: Brittany McGill of McDonald, TN, Hayley McGill of San Diego, CA, and Jessica Starling of Harrison, TN; three great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Diana Miller and husband Chuck of Hamilton, MT, Melba Slater and husband Chuck of Cleveland, TN, and Janice Carroll and husband Richard of Cleveland, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive; special friend, Fred Earls of McDonald, TN. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 ? 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013 prior to the service.
