Willie Ruth Young

Willie Ruth Young, 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Columbus Underwood and her second husband, Charles W. Young; her parents, James Isaac and Ella Wagner and Annie and Walter Newman; brother, Arnold Wagner; sister, Kathleen Johnson and step-sisters, Louise McAmis and Edna Dotts; step children: Don Underwood and Evelyn Banks Newberry. Survivors include her brothers: James and Leonard Wagner; sister, Ollie M. Hicks and Margaret Leamon all of Cleveland; seven step- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Higgins officiating. Interment will held at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
