Thomas Ashby Dudding, 96, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013, in a local healthcare facility. He was born on January 2, 1917, in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late Olie Ashby Dudding and Jenny Douglas Dudding. He was a retired machinist and had lived in the Cleveland area for the last 30 years. He was a member of Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy. He loved woodworking and had a passion for making anything out of wood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Ann (Williams) Dudding; brother, Paul Dudding; and sister, Dorothy Dudding. He is survived by two children; son, James A. Dudding and wife, Loree of Cleveland; daughter, Judith A. Kemper and husband, Dwight of Cleveland; grandchildren, Courtney Beck and husband, Aaron of Cleveland and Cheryl Svoboda and husband, Jim of Denver, Colorado; stepmother, Emma Dudding of Portsmouth, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Marvin Eskew and Reverend Ray Wynn officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release will conclude the ceremony. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the funeral home.
