Margot A. Smith, 84, a resident of Cleveland for the past 60 years and formerly from Germany, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013, in a local healthcare facility. She retired from the office payroll department of Westvaco where she was employed for 21 years. She was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were her parents, Walter Schoenfeldt and Olga Horn Shoenfeldt; her two sons, David and Roy Lee McMahan; and daughter Linda McMahan. Survivors include her three children, Eddy and Tim McMahan of Cleveland, and Tony Smith and wife Helen of Moyock, NC; eight grandchildren, Erich McMahan, Tonya Irwin, Lauren Gibby, Heather Jefferson, and Andrew Dunn, all of Cleveland, Samantha Smith and Andrew Wainscott of Moyock, NC, and Zachary Dunn, of Benton, TN; one sister, Anni Petzeke and one brother, Harry E. Schoenfeldt, both of Hamburg, Germany; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral home with Minister Steve Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Moores Chapel Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Jones, Earl Collette, Erich McMahan, Andrew Wainscott, Zachary Dunn, Andrew Dunn, Lynn Fowler and David Rayfield.
