Tomielene Davis Sorg

Tomielene Duncan Davis Sorg, 85, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong member of Big Springs United Methodist Church and retired from Kmart Corporation after 25 years of service, beginning at SS Kressge in the 60?s. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Duncan and Lillian Duncan; step-mother, Eunice Duncan; sister, Irene Geren and first husband, Dewey "Bud" Davis. She is survived by her husband, Gene Sorg of Ohio; son, Dewey Bryan Davis and wife, Robin; granddaughter, Samantha Davis of Louisville, TN; step-granddaughter, Brittany Strain and husband, Clayton of Cleveland; several close cousins, Leola and Robert Evans, Johnnie and Barbara Humberd, Paul and Betty Humberd; step-children, Jeff Sorg, Randy Sorg, Mike Sorg all of Ohio, Linda Nicoson of Iowa, Pam Sorg of Arizona and lifelong friend, Betty Geren of Cleveland. A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Johnnie Humberd officiating. Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Clayton Strain, Johnny Moses, Brent Fenton, Derrick Fenton, Nicholas Lewis and Terry Evans with an alternate of Lynn Beaver. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
