Ray J Davis

Ray J. Davis, 66, a resident of Riceville, passed away at his residence Friday evening, December 7, 2012. He was retired from Magic Chef, after eleven years of service. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Vietnam era. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Della Mae Bishop Davis. His survivors include his wife, Nancy Pike Davis of Riceville; five children, Lee Brown and wife Deanna of Cleveland, Kay Morrow and husband Brad of Ooltewah, Penny Brown of Riceville, Billy Brown of Cleveland, and Troy Davis and wife Sabrina of Cleveland; nine grandchildren, Steven Swafford, Crystal Swafford, Patrick Brown, Johnny Ray Brown, Nathan Brown, Heather Brown, Keith Brown, Christian Davis, and Gary Morrow; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jimmy Davis of Clearwater, FL. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery concluding with military honors. Pallbearers will be his sons, grandsons, and son-in-law.
