David Rick Bell

David Frederick "Rick" Bell, 46, of Cleveland, passed away at home Sunday, December 16, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. His brave battle with cancer ended, but his will to remain with his beloved wife and sons amazed each physician who monitored his treatments. He was of the Christian faith. If you met "Ricky Bell", you were immediately drawn by his warm demeanor. His love of the mountains, sports, and all things related to the water seemed natural for his sons as well. We mourn the loss of this young father, husband, son, and faithful friend. He had been a local business owner, but his spirit soared as he completed his latest adventure as a pilot. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Inez Harrison Hill. He is survived by his soul mate and wife, Gina Goins Bell of Cleveland; two sons: Camden Christian Bell and Kimsey Isles Bell, both of Cleveland; mother, Doris Harrison Bell Doney of Thompson Station, TN; father, Frederick Acquin Bell of Jackson, MS; brother, Steven Douglas Bell of Franklin, TN; aunt, Donna Harrison Cotner of Columbia, TN; cousin, Steven Michael Hill of Smyrna, GA; two nieces; and special friends: Mike Patterson, Kenny West, Lee Lieburn, Ray Nichols, Steve Longley and Mike Kimsey. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Spencer officiating. Inurnment with military honors will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the columbarium of Chattanooga National Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. His family will receive friends from 4 ? 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
