Reverend James E. Reno, 81, a resident of McDonald, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his residence. He attended the East Cleveland Baptist Church for 46 years. He was retired from Magic Chef after 34 years of service. He also served with the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Beaulah Reno; sisters: Thelma Crawford and Ersie Mae Martin; brothers: Glenn, Elmer and Paul Reno. Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Frances Reno of McDonald; daughters: Diane Cross, (Butch) of McDonald, Shelia France, (Steve) of Virginia, Kim Bray, (Travis) of Cleveland; son, Darryl Reno of McDonald; grandchildren: Drew Rader, Hyapatia Reno, Tyler Cline, Barrett Kibble and Sydney Kibble; brother, Hansel Reno of Athens; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Bancroft Cemetery with Pastor Joe Lockman and Gerald Goins officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Drew Rader, Barrett Kibble, Tyler Cline, Butch Cross, Travis Bray and Kenny Kibble will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
