Gail Barnett Aaron, 61, a resident of McDonald, TN, went home to be with the Lord October 16th . God sovereignly decided that the day of her earthly birthday would be the day of her heavenly birthday. Gail is survived by her husband of 12 years, William Aaron, and her brother Mel Barnett of Roanoke Rapids, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl R. "Hank" Barnett, and Lucy M. Barnes, also of Roanoke Rapids. Gail was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. Gail was the proud mother of her only child, Julie Kay Arrington, who along with her husband Todd, reside in Canton, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Trey and Madelyne Arrington, whom she dearly loved, and by stepchildren Lecia Guill, Dawn Dixon, and Shane and Marty Aaron of Cleveland, and Julie Davis of Cheyenne, WY. Her extended family includes 16 step-grandchildren, and 1 step-great grandchild. Gail graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School in 1969. Gail was a 15-year employee of Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was an avid reader, loved NASCAR and supported #88, Dale Jr. The family will receive friends between 5 and 7 pm Friday, October 19, 2012, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home located at 3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd., in Cleveland, TN. Service will follow immediately at 7 pm. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
