Albert B. Miller, Jr., 87, a resident of Cleveland passed away Friday, October 19, 2012, in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church and a former member of Ridgedale Baptist Church in Chattanooga. He was, "just a sinner saved by grace". A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in both the European and Pacific theaters. He was retired from Magic Chef where he served in the accounting and financial areas. He subsequently became associated with a CPA firm in Chattanooga. He was a member of the Exchange Club of Chattanooga, National Association of Accountants, Financial Executives Institute, Cleveland Noonday Lion?s Club where he was a charter member, on the Board of Directors of Cleveland YMCA, and the American Legion Post #81 and American Legion Post #95. He was an avid golfer who always enjoyed playing the game with his son and his regular foursome for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert B., and Bessie D. Miller, Sr., and his sister Helen Fillmer. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Edith G. Miller of Cleveland; son, Albert B. Miller, of Franklin; nephew, Michael A. Fillmer of Atlanta, GA; and niece Betsy F. Vance, of Chatsworth, GA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 25, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
