Alvin Edwin MIller

Alvin Edwin Miller, 82, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012, in a local hospital. He was a member of the Bowman Hills Seventh Day Adventist Church. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Signal Corps. He retired from American Uniform after 45 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses Grant Miller and Maude Carr Keller; two brothers, Howard Jr., and Raymond Miller; one sister, Francis McDonald:one son, Gregory Miller; and one granddaughter, Denise Miller of San Diego, CA. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Delores O?Kelly Miller; one daughter, Deborah Miller Kyle of Cleveland; two sons, Edwin Miller and wife Cindy and Eric Miller, all of Knoxville; three grandchildren, Kristin Kimsey Nelson and husband Anthony of Cleveland, and Daniel Miller of Knoxville, and Josh Morse and wife Emily of Knoxville; two step grandchildren, Tara and Ty Morse of Knoxville; three great grandchildren, Landri and Jacob Nelson of Cleveland, and Josh Morse of Knoxville; one sister, Virginia Petitt of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Johnson officiating.
