Harold Edward Gibson

Harold Edward Gibson, 70, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the family residence. He attended Ridgeview Baptist Church. He was formerly employed with Page Engineering. Mr. Gibson was the son of the late Isaac Gibson and Froney Davis Gibson and was also preceded in death by his son, Carl Edward Gibson. Survivors include his two children: Charles Gibson of Willow Springs, IL and Karen Sherman and husband, Mike of Downer Grove, IL; grandchildren: Charles Gibson, II, Frankie Gibson, Fiona Gibson, Isaac Gibson, Ashton Gibson all of Willow Springs, IL and Bethany Sherman and Andie Sherman both of Downers Grove, IL; brothers and sisters, Euna Vee Vollmar, of Evanston, IL, Billie Aaron, Pauline Johnson, Willard Carroll and wife, Ailene, Wildon Carroll and wife, Marie all of Cleveland, Kenneth Gibson and wife, Marsha of Springfield, VA, Jim R. Gibson and wife, Grace of Cleveland, Joyce Cardwell of Kerman, CA and Marilyn Gail Pippin of Cleveland; the mother of his children, Mary Gibson Woods of Westmount, IL; several loving nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Brown officiating. His family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the funeral home prior to the service.
