Ruby Nell Robinson

Ruby Nell Robinson, 85, a resident of Cleveland, passed away June 5, 2009 at the family residence. She was a member of Landmark Church of Jesus and loved to read her Bible. She was a homemaker and enjoyed tending her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Roberts and Texas Ann Phillips Roberts; her husband, William "Taylor" Robinson, who passed away in the year 2000. Survivors include seven children: Barbara Sharp of Ooltewah; Gene Robinson of Chattanooga, Shirley Pendergrass of Graysville; Randall Robinson of Chattanooga, Brenda Lawson of Etowah, Russell Robinson of Cleveland and Norman Robinson of Guntersville, AL; 53 grand, great and great- great grandchildren; eight siblings: Frank Roberts of Chattanooga, Helen Kyle of Knoxville, Dena Roberts, Trecy Roberts, Margie Ellison and Ollie Roberts all of Ten Mile, Mary Rose of Harriman and Lee Roberts of Chattanooga and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Monday, June 8, 2009 at Liberty Church of Jesus Christ in Athens with the Reverend Ronnie Hyde and Reverend Boyd Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Hornsby Chapel Cemetery in Meigs County. Robbie Robinson, Mark Robinson, John Douglas Wolf, Mickey Sharp, Kennie Montieth and Joshua Harvey will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
