William H Woody

William H. Woody, 83, a resident of Ocoee, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. He was retired from Maytag after 36 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the Cleveland Masonic Lodge #134 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents, Temple and Annie Woody; two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Virginia Woody; sister, Mildred Woods; a special brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jo Varner; nieces: Vicki Cavett, Kim Gregg and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Beecher White officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Jack Cavett, Mike Gregg, Jason Cavett, Jerry Cartwright, James Cartwright and Jamie Gregg serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
