Reverend Charles Andrew Forgey, 90, of Cleveland, TN went to be with his heavenly father on Monday, July 09, 2012 at his family residence. He served in US Army during World War II. Reverend Forgey ministered for over 65 years, and was ordained in the Church of God for the past 60 years. Reverend Forgey pastored many churches across the state of Tennessee. He had a desire to serve the Lord and see many souls added to God?s kingdom. He attended and was a member of the Prospect Church of God. He had many friends and church family but most importantly was loved by all!!! He was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years Billie Cissom Forgey; his great grandson, Gavin Isaac Norman; his mother, Aletha Trew Forgey; his father, Ambrose Forgey; his step mother, Ida Forgey and his brothers, Lake, Clyde and Donald Forgey. Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Margie Wilson Forgey; son and daughter-in-law, Reverend Gary and Brenda Forgey of Cleveland; two granddaughters and their husbands, Amber and Chuck Norman and Ashleigh and Reverend David Pinkard all of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Rayven Kaleigh Norman, Drake Garrett Norman, Landon Blythe Norman, Rayleigh Brooke Pinkard and Braelyn Alayna Pinkard all of Cleveland; step-sons and their wives, Reverend Dwight and Jeanette Wilson of Ringgold, GA, Reverend Mitchell and Janie Wilson of McDonald, Reverend Harold and Betty Ann Wilson of Chattanooga, Calvin and Marilyn Wilson of Ringgold, GA; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and their wives, Reverend James and Gladys Forgey of Cleveland, Reverend LeRoy and Agnes Forgey of Pikeville; sister, Dorothy Brewer Holder of Cleveland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Betty and NC Cartwright of Georgetown, Jim and Reverend Jeannie Cissom, Jimmie Delores Cissom, Jerry Cissom all of Cleveland; many nephews and nieces also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Sammy Hughes, Reverend Eddie Scott and Reverend Timothy Gann officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Bobby Cissom, Troy Forgey, Roy Forgey, N.C. Cartwright, Tim Higgs and Steve Forgey will serve as pallbearers. Hubert Philpott, Steve Bowers, Buddy Brewer and Robert Dye will serve as honorary pallbearers.
