June Torchick

June Torchick, 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was born on May 17, 1923 in Wheeling, West Virginia. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Torchick was the daughter of the late Lee Phillis and Marietta Phillis and was also preceded in death by her husband, John V. Torchick; sister, Betty Vermillion; brothers-in-law, Claude Vermillion and Dick Robbins; two brothers, Charles and Ray Phillis. She is survived by her son, John Leslie Torchick and wife, Nancy of Cleveland; grandchildren: John Raymond Torchick and wife Wendy, and Leslie Casteel and husband, Randy all of Cleveland; great-grandchildren: Ryan Casteel and wife, Bethany, Cooper and Brody Casteel and Noah, Audrey and Anna Torchick all of Cleveland; sister, Dawn Robbins of Kansas City, MO; nephew, Dean L. Stephens and wife, Ruth and their sons, Liam, Torin and Holden of Kansas City, MO; niece, Sharon Crawford and husband, Larry of Boynton Beach, Florida; their son, Darin Crawford and family of Columbus, Ohio, their daughter, Sherri and husband, Sean of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; special family members, Brad and Martha Stuman of Cleveland. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Asble officiating. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
