Louise Frazier

d. August 16, 2012

Ida Louise Bonds Frazier, 92 years old, passed away early on Thursday morning, August 16, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late K. D. Bonds, Rhetta Nicholson Bonds Massingale and Emory Massingale. Louise loved her Heavenly Father and lived her life as a true Proverbs 31 woman. She worked side by side with her husband Hobert as they dairy farmed and she loved gardening, even canning beans just this July. She was faithful to her church, Beech Springs Baptist where she was honored for being the church clerk for 27 years. She always opened her home to anyone in need. "Mamaw?s" apple pies and chocolate cake were a hit in her community. She was an avid Rook and Scrabble player and took pleasure in beating her children and grandchildren in the games. She was a member of the Eastern Star and worked at the Old Fort Post Office for 21 years. Louise lived her life one day at a time and all who knew her loved her. She was the best mother, mother-in-law, mamaw and great-grandmamaw ever and will be sadly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and her husband of 43 years, D. Hobert Frazier. She is survived by her children: Danny and Martha Frazier, Kay Frazier, Phyllis Frazier Hamby of Old Fort and Tommy and Ghena Frazier of Greasy Creek. Also surviving are her grandchildren who hold her in highest regards, Jodi Frazier Cook, Monty and wife, Trisha Frazier, Jason, Kenny and Madeleine Frazier, Kevin Hamby all of Old Fort, Amy and fiancé, Jake Evans of Cleveland, Julie Hamby of Atlanta, GA and Briar Lowe of Greasy Creek. Her great-grandchildren who adored her are Luke, Rafe, Grant and Isabella Cook of Old Fort, Myles and Briley Evans of Cleveland and Casson Burris Frazier of Conasauga. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Reba Massingale of Ringgold, GA and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Remembrance of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Reverend Jerry Campbell, pastor of Beech Springs Baptist Church and Reverend Kinzel Hooker, pastor of Old Salem Baptist Church will be officiating. Interment will follow in Cumberland Shed Cemetery in Old Fort. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Monty, Jason and Kenny Frazier, Kevin Hamby, Briar Lowe and special longtime friend of the family, Marvin Humphreys. Her family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the funeral home.
