Faye Banther, 60, loving wife, mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 30, 2012. She was a member of Honestville Baptist Church. She was employed with TVA at Watts Bar for the past sixteen years. Mrs. Banther was the daughter of the late Ira Slaughter and Madeline Watkins Lane and was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Bettis and two brothers, Jimmy Slaughter and Dale Slaughter. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Price Banther of Cleveland; two children: Billy Banther and Jeanna Banther Thompson and husband, Chuck all of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Brandon Banther, Madison Castello, Emily Grace Thompson, Abby Claire Thompson, Hollis Thompson and Henry Thompson; two sisters, Nellie Hood and husband, Bill of Delano and Freda Frazier and husband, Dewayne of Georgetown; two brothers, Marvin Slaughter and wife, Ethel and Gary Slaughter and wife, Joann all of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Evans and Pastor Greg Banther officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 3, 2012 at the funeral home.
